The Department of Education employs over 120 physiotherapists to support students with disability to be successful in all aspects of their school experience. They use their knowledge and skills to enable students to be healthy and engaged in all school activities. From positioning in the classroom, to school swimming or going on camp, our physiotherapists are key members of a student's educational team.
Successful applicants can also be included in our talent pool for up to twelve months to be considered for suitable positions.
You will be asked to indicate your preferences for locations and employment fraction/type on submitting your application.

Responsibilities Include
- Support students to achieve their potential using evidence-based contemporary physiotherapy knowledge
- Collaborate and liaise with school leaders, teachers, other service providers to develop and implement physiotherapy services
- Develop and implement best-practice assessment, program planning, intervention and monitoring strategies for students with disability
- Participate in quality improvement and research activities enhancing physiotherapy services in schools
- Actively participate in, professional development activities and clinical supervision to improve and ensure high quality services are delivered

- Possession of a degree in physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution, or other equivalent formal qualifications which, in the opinion of the Director-General, Department of Education, or delegate, are acceptable
- Current registration with the Physiotherapist Board of Australia (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
- Current citizenship, resident or visa status required to be eligible to work in Australia
