Our team
Join our Attraction and Engagement team as Senior Graphic Designer and be part of a small, collaborative and high-impact team shaping how teachers connect with Queensland state schools. In this role, you'll lead creative design and production outcomes that support teacher attraction, recruitment and mobility.
We are looking for our next Senior Graphic Designer to:
- Lead and deliver creative design solutions within department and government frameworks, timelines and brand standards
- Apply innovation and fresh thinking to solve problems and adapt design approaches as priorities and needs evolve
- Provide expert advice on design, production and publishing, ensuring all materials are accessible, align to the Teach Queensland idenity, Queensland Government brand and departmental visual standards
- Create visually engaging reports and documents that clearly communicate data, insights and results to support team, division and branch needs.
- Guide stakeholders on effective design approaches, tools, templates and production pathways
- Manage multiple projects and jobs end-to-end, balancing competing priorities while meeting deadlines, budgets and quality expectations
- Manage approval and expenditure governance, ensuring design and production activities are delivered responsibly and in accordance with government requirements
- Work collaboratively across the Attraction and Engagement team, the wider Recruitment and Mobility teams, and with Communication and Events and other departmental teams
- Engage and manage external suppliers (e.g. printing, design agency, photographers, videographers) to deliver fit-for-purpose outcomes.
- Is creative and innovative, and confident working within constraints
- Adapts quickly to change and enjoys finding practical, new solutions
- Is highly organised, self-managed and comfortable juggling multiple priorities
- Enjoys both strategic thinking and hands-on delivery
- Thrives in a collaborative environment and values strong working relationships
Desirable Experience
We are looking for applicants with strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications, proficiency in a PC environment, Canva, and the Microsoft Suite. Knowledge of HTML, Vision 6, or similar programs will be highly regarded.
