Description:
- Complete end‑of‑month accounting, reconciliations and reporting across various business units
- Prepare monthly cashflow reports, cashflow forecasts, BAS and other compliance reporting
- Manage merchandise or inventory accounting, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments and deferred revenue
- Support the preparation of half‑year and year‑end statutory financial statements
- Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen budgeting, forecasting and financial controls
- Assist with insurance, risk management, compliance reporting and ad‑hoc finance projects
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes, systems, controls and reporting accuracy
- Provide technical accounting guidance, including interpretation of relevant accounting standards
- Oversee complex reconciliations and resolve issues across multiple systems or entities
- Prepare high‑quality management reporting, including variance analysis and financial insights
- Coordinate audit processes and prepare supporting documentation for external auditors
- Mentor and support junior finance team members, including reviewing work and sharing technical knowledge
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of financial policies, procedures and governance frameworks
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or a related discipline
- CA or CPA qualification (or near)
- Strong practical experience in financial accounting, including reconciliations and statutory reporting
- Experience within a Big Four or mid‑tier accounting firm (highly regarded)
- Advanced Excel skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across the business
- High levels of professionalism, discretion and accountability
