- Part-time (3 days), Fixed Term position until March 2027 (parental leave cover)
- Salary Level HEW 8 + 17% Superannuation
- Based at the Bundoora campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University
About the Role
You will provide individual supervision for Clinical Psychology students on placement in the RMIT Psychology Clinic. They will support students to achieve their competencies on placement, develop their clinical skills and maintain high quality client services. The appointee will maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues at the RMIT Health Clinics, as well as at the Faculty and University levels as appropriate.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Accredited Masters, or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology.
To be successful in this position you'll have as a minimum:
A high level of proficiency in clinical psychology assessment and interventions with complex mental health/psychological disorders in relevant client groups. A high level of knowledge of psychological theories, models and evidence-based clinical interventions with complex mental health/psychological disorders in varied client groups. A high level of competence in the clinical supervision of clinical psychology students in assessment and intervention with complex mental health/psychological disorders in relevant client groups. Demonstrable training and significant experience delivering cognitive behavioural and CBT related interventions (e.g. ACT, schema focused therapies, DBT etc) A high level of knowledge of laws and ethical standards governing psychological practice. Ability to work autonomously whilst displaying a strong commitment to work in a team environment, including the demonstrated ability to confidently and effectively work with colleagues in the Master of Clinical Psychology program. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, effectively manage varying workloads and respond to changing priorities as required.Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills. About the College
The Discipline of Psychology is located on both the Bundoora Campus (West) and the City Campus of the University. The discipline has a focus on the application of psychology to achieve better health outcomes. An important aspect of our clinical program is the exposure to practice experience that students receive in our multi-disciplinary clinic at University Hill, Bundoora. The discipline has research strengths in biological, health and clinical psychology, particularly in the areas of sleep, lifestyle and chronic diseases.
