Position Summary:
As a Junior Web Data Analyst, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining web tracking using Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, ensuring data accuracy and reliability. You will also work with BigQuery, write basic SQL queries to extract data, and create insightful reports in Data Studio and Power BI.
Responsibilities:
1. Implement Tracking: Install, configure, and maintain tracking codes using Google Tag Manager to collect web data accurately.
2. Google Analytics Management: Set up and manage Google Analytics 4 properties, events, audiences and conversions to monitor website performance.
3. BigQuery: Learn and use BigQuery to extract data, write basic SQL queries to retrieve relevant information, and analyse large datasets.
4. Report Building: Create interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using Data Studio and Power BI to communicate key insights to stakeholders.
5. Data Quality Assurance: Continuously monitor data quality, troubleshoot tracking issues, and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
6. Analysis and Insights : Analyse web data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide actionable insights to improve website performance.
7. Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients, including marketing, project managers, and analytics lead, to gather requirements and ensure data tracking aligns with business objectives.
8. Documentation : Maintain documentation of tracking implementations, SQL queries, and reporting processes.
9. Training : Stay updated with the latest industry trends and tools related to web analytics, and provide training and support to team members when necessary.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Analytics.
- Basic knowledge of web analytics tools, including Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
- Familiarity with BigQuery and the ability to write basic SQL queries a plus.
- Proficiency in data visualisation tools such as Data Studio and Power BI is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and a passion for data accuracy.
