Description:
- Daily bank monitoring, allocating receipts and maintaining reconcilable accounts
- Process sales and purchase invoices; manage AP/AR and debtor follow‑up
- Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Run payroll including PAYG, superannuation, leave accruals and statutory deadlines
- Prepare and lodge BAS/IAS and payroll tax
- Deliver monthly reporting: P&L, Balance Sheet, cash flow summaries and board packs
- Coordinate year‑end processes and liaison with external accountants
- Manage compliance items such as FBT, WorkCover, insurance renewals and certificates of currency
- Support process improvements and general office administration as needed
Requirements:
A successful Senior Bookkeeper should have:
- Relevant qualifications in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and financial systems
- Proven experience in bookkeeping
- Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
