The Opportunity

Responsibilities

We currently have an opening for a Design Draftsperson in our Wetherill Park, NSW branch. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting Unique' s customers and clients through all issues relating to the Laser cutting and fabrication of their products
• Servicing our customer's needs and requests professionally, thoroughly and in a timely manner
• Provide technical support to our production, sales and customer service departments
• Creating Shopfloor drawings
• Modifying customer concepts to create detailed fabrication drawings
• Reverse engineer cad files to create 2d flat patterns for laser cutting
  
  

About You

Experience in Manufacturing with a high degree of experience in drafting for the metal industry

An understanding of fabrication processes including, laser cutting, folding, welding and assembly processes

• Experience with 2D and 3D design packages, preferably Inventor / Autocad software
• Experience in Sheetmetal design
• Ability to prepare bills of materials
• Liaising with suppliers to source components
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
• Willing to learn brake press folding software
• An understanding of drawing standards
• A working knowledge of MS Office
