Amazon’s Retail team, located in Sydney, is looking for a Senior Vendor Manager, a pivotal role where our mission is to change the weekly shopping habits of Australians. If you’re inspired by a new challenge and making your mark on a rapidly growing business, this position may be for you.As a Senior Vendor Manager, you will be a passionate customer and category advocate within Amazon; possess strong negotiation and analytical skills, together with proven commercial knowledge and experience. The ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task is a must, together with excellent project management skills and laser sharp attention to detail. The Senior Vendor Manager must also be an effective communicator, working with some of Amazon Australia's most important partners and vendors, as well as with internal colleagues and cross-functional leaders. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for retail and a high level of flexibility and commitment. We are seeking a tenured Senior Vendor Manager with growth potential to move into a Manager, Vendor Management position.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to earn trust and influence as well as to hold stakeholders, often more senior than you, accountable for high standards
• Learning-based problem-solving: breaking down issues into work streams, working backwards from key deadlines
• Advanced project management skills, with a strong sense of accountability for outcomes
• Enjoyment of analytical tasks – working to create different scenarios based on alternative solutions
• Comfort managing a wide variety of projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced and ambiguous business environment
• Willingness to "roll up your sleeves" and operate with limited guidance
• Strong commercial and people judgment
• Analytical ability to think both strategically and tactically.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of with Excel experience- 5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
- Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
- Experience with business analysis and P&L management- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
