As a full-time Labourer in Horticulture, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our mission. You will work alongside a dedicated team, engaging in hands-on maintenance tasks that contribute to the beauty and sustainability of the environment around you.
Position Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the Council’s horticultural and coastal assets, ensuring they are kept in prime condition. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with team leaders to deliver high-quality outcomes, applying horticultural chemicals safely, and conducting risk assessments to maintain a secure work environment. You will also be entrusted with the operation and maintenance of various horticultural equipment, ensuring that all tasks are performed efficiently and safely.
Candidate Profile

- NSW WHS General Induction Card (White card) is essential for this role
- Experience: Minimum two years in a similar role, operation of horticultural equipment, and strong communication skills.
- Core Attributes: Decision-making skills, goal-oriented, effective communication, and a positive team player.
- Certificate II in Horticulture or related field, chainsaw training and Chemcert qualification would be desirable
