Network Monitoring EngineerAbout the team
Located in our Infrastructure Network Operations department, the Network Monitoring team are responsible for the monitoring, operation and management of the active assets associated within the water, sewer, and recycled water networks.
About your new role
You will be responsible for initiating, driving and implementing operational and monitoring optimisation and risk mitigation initiatives relating to the water, sewerage and recycled water networks.We are pivotal in monitoring all active assets 24/7 but also oversee the operation of the passive assets, including 3,500km of water mains and 3,500km of sewerage mains to provide safe drinking water supplies and sewerage collection
We're looking for people who have:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
Current Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence.
Position of Trust – SOCI Critical Worker.
Demonstrated experience in water, sewer and/or recycled water hydraulic networks is highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience in SCADA monitoring systems is highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience in data analytical tools such as OSiPi, Power BI, SQL and Python.
Self-motivated individual with the ability to interact with team members to build effective internal relationships, with experience interacting with the public/external stakeholders.
Proactive awareness of new technologies like edge computing, digital twins, and AI for potential integration and demonstrated experience in data analytical tools such as Power BI, SQL and Python and data historians such as OSIPI.
Insight into how data-driven solutions can improve our organisation and community.
Ability to identify and capturedetailed business requirements, improvement opportunities and consulting with stakeholders to assist implementing change.
Ability to research issues, interpret and analyse information, determine an appropriate course of action, and provide sound advice, options, or recommendation(s).
