About the role
Delta Constructions NT Pty Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a highly capable Leading Hand Carpenter to join our team in Humpty Doo, NT. As a casual position, this role offers the flexibility to balance your work and personal commitments. You will play a crucial part in the success of our construction projects, leading a team of carpenters and ensuring the highest standards of workmanship.
What you'll be doing

Supervise and coordinate a team of carpenters to complete construction tasks to a high standard

Carry out complex carpentry and cabinet making duties, including framing, finishing, and installation

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices on the worksite

Liaise with project managers and other tradespeople to coordinate workflows

Mentor and train junior carpenters to develop their skills

Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years' experience as a qualified carpenter, with demonstrated expertise in carpentry and cabinet making

Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Proficient in reading and interpreting building plans and specifications

Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations

Certification in Carpentry or a related trade, and a current NT driver's licence
