Description:
Our client is looking for a motivated Leading Hand Storeperson to take charge of day-to-day warehouse operations and help drive our success in the Northern Territory.
As the Leading Hand Storeperson, you'll be responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient stock control, safe work practices, and excellent service to our customers and internal teams. This is a great opportunity to lead from the front while working with one of Australia’s most respected names in steel and construction solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a small warehouse team, ensuring smooth and safe operations.
- Oversee stock movements, inventory control, and documentation accuracy.
- Load and unload trucks and manage deliveries efficiently.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely (LF ticket required).
- Monitor and maintain workplace safety and cleanliness standards.
- Liaise with customers, drivers, and internal departments as required.
- Ensure compliance with companies policies, procedures, and safety standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a warehouse/storeperson role, ideally with team leadership exposure.
- Forklift license (LF) essential; HR license or high-risk licenses highly regarded.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Experience with inventory systems
- A safety-first attitude and good communication skills.
- Ability to lead by example and motivate a small team.
