5 year perm contract
Hudson is proud to be partnering with a prominent government organisation in the search for an experienced Executive Assistant to support the Executive Director, Property and Major Projects on a long-term, 5-year fixed contract.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a fast-paced and high-performing executive environment, working alongside a highly respected leader known for his approachable leadership style, strategic focus, and generosity with his time.
About the Role This role is far more than traditional diary management — it’s about being one step ahead, bringing calm to chaos, and making a genuine impact across a high-functioning directorate. Supporting an Executive Director with a large, senior team of five direct reports, you’ll need to be proactive, professional, and resilient.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end calendar and diary management with a high volume of changes and priorities
- Preparing, tracking, and following up on documents, reports, and approvals
- Email and communication management — confidently responding or flagging priority issues
- Regular planning sessions with the Executive Director to set agendas, establish priorities, and keep things moving
- Anticipating needs, protecting the Executive's time, and managing expectations from stakeholders across the organisation
- Supporting and enabling a productive work rhythm — even when days are unpredictable
We are looking for someone who:
- Has supported senior executives or C-suite leaders
- Possesses exceptional organisation and time management skills
- Can confidently "manage up" — ensuring priorities are met and time is used effectively
- Is resilient, positive, and solutions-focused — someone who focuses on fixing, not fault-finding
- Is emotionally intelligent, a strong communicator, and able to juggle a range of stakeholder demands with grace
- Has strong attention to detail and is comfortable navigating a fast-moving inbox and shifting priorities
The Offer
- 5-year contract — stability and longevity in a meaningful role
- Flexible working hours — early starts and adjusted finish times to accommodate home life
- 1 day WFH
- A warm, inclusive and high-trust work culture
- Opportunity to work alongside a genuinely supportive and strategic leader
