About the Role
The Finance Officer is responsible for supporting Ironbark’s financial operations and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and standards. This role involves processing financial transactions, preparing detailed reports, reconciling accounts, monitoring budgets, and assisting in audits. The position requires meticulous attention to detail, proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders, and a commitment to continuous improvement in financial processes.
We are looking for an applicant who has:
• Minimum Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping or at least 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Australian business taxation requirements including GST reporting, PAYG and Superannuation.
• Strong knowledge of financial management systems.
• Demonstrated high level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and MYOB.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in a not-for-profit organisation.
