Enrolled Nurse - Townsville GP Superclinic
Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Enrolled Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a general practice setting. The Enrolled Nurse will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and will be responsible for assisting with patient care.
We are looking for full time, part time, or casual Enrolled Nurses to join our fantastic team in general practice at the Townsville GP Superclinic, Hyde Park.
Availability to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week, with flexibility of hours between 8am and 9.30pm Monday to Friday and rotational Saturdays/Sundays between 9am and 5.30pm would be is preferred. Days will be discussed during interview.
You will be working collaboratively with the GPs, allied health professionals and support staff to provide integrated care for our patients.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Provide the highest level of patient care possible
Triaging patients and prioritising emergency situations
Assisting in all treatment room procedures
Assisting GPs with clinical and surgical procedures
Wound dressing and removal of sutures
Administer immunisations/vaccinations as prescribed by a physician or Registered Nurse
Infection control, sterilisation
Assisting GPs with chronic disease management
Health assessments, preparation, and review of care plans
Performing ECGs and other tests such as spirometry and audiograms
Registering patients for eHealth
Assist with Pre Employment screening
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes
The successful applicant must have:
Full working rights in Australia
Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
Current Indemnity Insurance
Ability to work under pressure, have good time management and handle multi-tasks simultaneously
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Outstanding conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
Ability to follow policies and procedures
Strong attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work in a team autonomously and collaboratively
Intermediate computer skills
Desirable:
General Practice experience preferred
Experience with Best Practice software is an advantage
Any additional experience and qualifications in immunisations, care plan and health assessments would be favourable
Immediate start if possible
Pay rate based on qualifications and experience
