Undergraduate Accountant/Junior Accountant

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and dedicated part time Undergraduate Accountant/Junior Accountant to join our team, with the potential for the role to transition into a full time position.
This role provides an excellent opportunity with flexible work hours to fit around university attendance and to start your career in accounting, offering exposure to a variety of tasks and the chance to grow professionally within a supportive environment.
The position is available for an immediate start and is initially offered on a part time basis. However, candidates seeking full time employment are also encouraged to apply, as the role may be considered for a suitably qualified individual.
TASK AND RESPONSIBILITY
Reporting to the CFO, your responsibilities will include:

Processing Accounts Payable: invoice entry, payment application, PO matching, reconciling supplier statements, and ensuring timely payments

Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations

Assist with processing inter-company transactions and loans across AU and US entities

Provide administrative support to the finance team
-
Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial reports, statements, and general ledger accounts.

Assist in general accounting and administrative tasks as required

Assist with monthly and annual financial closings

To be successful in this role you will need to have strong time management skills, the ability to take initiative, apply common sense and consistently demonstrate excellent communication skills.
You may have experience in a similar position or be nearing completion of a degree in Accounting or Commerce. More importantly, you will be numerically minded, detailed oriented and a collaborative team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
