Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.

Fremantle Hospital is a 300-bed specialist hospital focused on providing high-quality aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation, planned surgeries and medical services.

SMHS delivers quality, safe and effective hospital and health services within a catchment area stretching more than 3300 square kilometres across the southern half of Perth.

Currently we are seeking a strategic Manager to join our Social Work team. The successful applicant/s shall be part of an interdisciplinary team, provides high quality Social Work Services applying specialised level of knowledge and practice skills, to a diverse and complex caseload within the clinical specialty. Negotiates and collaborates with Social Work Head and Deputy Head of Department and relevant stakeholders to support clinical service planning and delivery within the specialty areas. Provides a specialised level of Social Work advice and consultancy in the management of patients to other senior medical, nursing, and allied health staff at FSFHG and external agencies. Manages staff within a team, including planned / unplanned leave, performance development and clinical supervision. Drives clinical research, quality improvement and service development in relevant clinical areas.

To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).
