As a Compliance Investigations Officer, you will conduct thorough investigations into QBCC licence holders and other individuals who fail to comply with legislative requirements. You’ll prepare investigation plans, manage a high-volume caseload, apply best-practice investigative techniques, and prepare briefs of evidence to support disciplinary, civil, and criminal proceedings. This position is based in Maryborough, and working from home for up to two days per week is an option for the successful candidate.
Some travel to Brisbane may be required for training days.
Key Outcomes And Accountabilities
Undertake investigations into alleged breaches of legislation for which QBCC is responsible for administering and regulating, and take appropriate action, including job site operations and investigations. Prepare investigation plans and manage high-volume investigative caseloads. Use best-practice investigative techniques, including offence elementisation, formulation of evidence matrices, preparation of witness statements and affidavits and conducting records of interviews.

Desirable Requirements
Certificate IV in investigation or equivalent (i.e. Bachelor of Law) Minimum three years investigative experience Knowledge or experience in government investigations or experience across a variety of regulatory environments.
