The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and organised individual to take on a dual-role position supporting both the Ground Training and Finance departments:

  • Management Support Officer – 7 days per fortnight

  • Payroll Officer – 3 days per fortnight

Key Responsibilities

Management Support Officer

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Ground Training team.

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence.

  • Organise meetings, take minutes, and follow up on actions.

  • Maintain records, databases, and filing systems.

  • Manage internal communications and enquiries professionally.

  • Coordinate scheduling, document preparation, and reporting.

  • Liaise with instructors, students, and leadership for seamless training delivery.

  • Support compliance-related tasks and data entry.

Payroll Officer

  • Process wages, deductions, and staff entitlements on a fortnightly basis.

  • Manage leave records and timesheets in the payroll system.

  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and reporting.

  • Handle termination payments and leave entitlements.

  • Respond to payroll-related queries (e.g. superannuation, leave balances).

  • Prepare and lodge superannuation contributions.

  • Maintain payroll records and support payroll compliance requirements.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in payroll or finance-related roles.

  • Strong background in administration and office support.

  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities across two teams.

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Discretion in handling confidential information.

Desirable:

  • Experience in aviation or training industry.

  • Experience with payroll systems (e.g. Employment Hero).

  • Familiarity with compliance and award interpretation.
