Job Description** AN EXPERIENCED SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT REQUIRED The role is for an experienced tax accountant who has a broad focus giving you broad tax and accounting exposure. This is a great opportunity to step into a role that you can grow and develop as a senior managing accountant and beyond.
The role contains the typical elements of a tax accountant role including the technical elements. Skills and Experience You will be a perfect fit if you have:
Proven minimum 5+ years recent Australian level experience in an accounting practice as a tax accountant. Experience with MYOB Accountants Enterprise, MYOB and XERO, Reckon/Quickbooks. Highly skilled in the use of MS Office Suite.
Strong knowledge of the Australian Accounting Standards and taxation legislation. Strong attention to detail. Confidence in interacting with clients.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Motivated to develop your knowledge and progress your career.
Your responsibilities will include: Completing financial accounts and tax returns for companies, partnerships, trusts, and SMSF's. Completion of BAS, IAS statements, FBT returns and annual GST returns,
Reviewing client's accounts prepared by their bookkeepers/internal accountants. Providing payroll support, payroll tax lodgments, workers compensation forms. Assisting in tax planning and compliance.
