Your role within QBuild will support the department to partner with Queensland Government agencies to deliver their core services, by providing state-wide planning, building, maintenance, and disaster response services that utilise local suppliers and QBuild tradespeople and apprentices. The primary purpose of the role is required to develop, deliver, and manage a range of administrative support services, including high level administration assistance to Business Manager and Business Support Team.
Duties and skills involved:
* Providing high level assistance, support, and advice to the Business Manager and Business Support Team.
* Managing the overall function, performance, and staff of the business support section to ensure successful business outcomes across all services provided.
* Coordinating the implementation of business initiatives and resolve implementation issues within the section.
* Coordinating and managing a range of administrative support activities to enable a service that is responsive to the needs of the business unit by providing administrative support and advice to senior management and staff on administrative operational issues.
* Leading, supporting, and training staff to enhance their abilities and increase their knowledge of business improvement processes and related business management systems.
* Participating in work practice review activities and provide expert advice in relation to the section's integrated business management systems.
* Ensuring that all work processes and business procedures are compliant with the department's business systems.
* Demonstrating professionalism, being an enthusiastic contributor to QBuild culture and a positive leader to a great team while motivating staff to exceed expectations.
* Providing efficient and high standards of customer service to QBuild customers, including coordinating responses to escalated customer queries.
* Promoting a safe and equitable work environment and ensure that all staff understand and comply with equity, anti-discrimination and workplace health and safety requirements.
* Proactively managing the work performance and personal conduct of your staff.
