Team Leader Community Engagement & Intake

• Internal opportunity with the Community Engagement & Intake team
• Full-Time, Ongoing position
• Based in Werribee

As the Community Engagement and Intake Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for leading a range of homelessness support services in Melbourne’s Western Metro area. Your focus will be on community engagement, early intervention, prevention, and intake services.

Some of your responsibilities in this role include:

• Ensuring the high-quality delivery of services in these programs, through working with the team, providing first-line supervision and operational management of the programs and providing direct client support as required in accordance with program requirements.
• Lead and support the team, including with routine supervision and connection into Uniting’s other practice and professional development supports.
• Manage operational performance in accordance with contract requirements and ensuring value for money an efficiency in program delivery.

• A tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated experience delivering homelessness support programs.
• Proven experience leading, coaching and developing staff.
• Ability to engage and work effectively with consumers experiencing homelessness in a respectful, compassionate and appropriate manner.
• Experience and understanding of high-quality trauma informed supervision models, and coaching, motivating and leading high-performance teams, and leading file audit and other quality processes.
