As a Procurement Officer you will be part of the Procurement Services Group that provides a centre led Procurement Function to the Queensland Police Service.As part of the ICT & Infrastructure team or General Goods & Services team, you will be working as part of a small team that administers the undertaking of strategic procurement projects and contract management activities relating to medium value/high risk procurement activities for the Queensland Police Service.

The Core Capability Requirements For This Role Are
- Manage medium procurement activities in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring that risk, probity, and transparency requirements are addressed.
- Monitor and advise on financial, contract management and procurement systems compliance, in accordance with QPS policies and procedures and the State Procurement Policy.
- Negotiate and consult with internal and external stakeholders regarding procurement and contract related issues to identify specific business needs and to facilitate compliance within the required timeframes.
- Actively participate in an effective and professional procurement team, including drafting and negotiating Contracts.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal clients, vendors, and staff to ensure procurement services are responsive to current and future needs.
Qualification - Highly desirable Queensland Government Level 2 Procurement Certification or equivalent.
Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience - Experience in SAP, Knowledge of Supply Chain Methodology and Queensland Information Technology Contracting Framework would be highly desirable.
