Description:
We are seeking a Procurement Officer to provide advice, information and support to senior officers and service areas in relation to procurement strategies which support the department in meeting its service delivery requirements.As a Procurement Officer, You Will
- Provide advice and services to clients, departmental staff and suppliers in relation to procurement practices under the Queensland Procurement Policy.
- Undertake procurement projects and assist with the development of procurement plans, tender development, tender management, evaluation advice, contract negotiations and drafting, and development of contract management plans.
- Assist in the development, implementation and review of procurement systems, policies and procedures, and training to achieve effective and efficient procurement within the department in accordance with relevant legislation. Maintain knowledge of whole-of-government procurement activities, market trends and techniques to enable efficient management of planning and operational refinement of departmental procurement services.
- Develop and maintain strong productive working relationships within the department and across government agencies and other external bodies.
- Assist with research, draft reports, submissions, briefing notes and correspondence on procurement related matters.
