The Opportunity
Operating from within the Facilities Department, you will undertake of a range of horticultural duties as directed including the maintenance of Council’s parks assets and the operation of horticultural plant and equipment.
This role encompasses a range of duties and responsibilities which may vary as directed by Council. The key ones include:
- Operate of a range of horticultural plant and equipment in Councils parks, gardens and cemeteries;
- As part of the Parks and Open Space team, carry out maintenance to park assets;
- Complete allocated tasks consistently within agreed time frames
About Yourself
A person in this position will need to hold a relevant Certificate II in Horticulture, OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience. It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have
- Current Queensland C Class Licence. “MR” licence (Preferred or willing to obtain).
- OH&S Construction Safety Induction White Card.
