About the team

As part of the leadership team of the Asian and International Macroeconomics Section in the Reserve Bank’s Economic Analysis Department, you will help oversee the analysis and research of international economic developments. • Effectively plan, implement and monitor progress of the team’s analytical agenda and regular policy outputs in line with priorities of the Department.

  • Provide economic and/or technical advice that supports the monetary policy decisions of the Board and contributes to the Bank and Economic Group meeting its strategic goals.

  • Actively contribute to the transformation program of the department, as part of the Bank-wide response to the RBA Review

  • Communicate effectively to relevant internal and external decision-makers, stakeholders and other audiences in support of the Bank’s functions and objectives.

About you

  • Strong people leadership and influencing skills, and the ability to nurture an inclusive culture and team-based approach to work.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in economics, finance or closely related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong macroeconomic frameworks and modelling experience in economic analysis and research or in a closely related field, preferably with an international perspective and/or China-specific expertise.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to judge what issues are most important and to reprioritise quickly as circumstances change, and a passion to own the delivery of the team’s regular outputs and analytical agenda.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills together with an ability to work collaboratively with other sections in the Bank.

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to identify the key issues that need to be conveyed to external audience.

1.What is an example of a inclusion, diversity and belonging initiative that you have contributed to?
