The opportunity
As an experienced Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate payments to our stakeholders, overseeing end-to-end accounts payable processes, and fostering strong relationships with our vendors. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help maintain the integrity and efficiency of our financial operations.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, your key responsibilities will include:

Invoice Processing - Accurately process incoming invoices, ensuring all details are complete and correct.

Payment Processing - Coordinate and execute timely vendor payments, managing the payment approval workflow.

Vendor Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with Texco’s vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving invoice or payment issues promptly.

Expense Reimbursements - Administer employee expense reimbursements, ensuring claims are compliant with internal policies.

Account Reconciliation - Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable balances against vendor statements.

Compliance & Reporting - Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws, accounting standards, and internal policies.

Document Management - Maintain well-organised and secure records of all accounts payable transactions.

Process Improvement - Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and enhance accounts payable processes, reducing manual work and increasing efficiency.
About you
As a key contributor to our finance team and broader business, we’re looking for someone who brings a strong mix of experience, skills, and personal qualities. Ideally, you will have:

Proven experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance role

Hands-on experience with invoice processing, account reconciliations, and vendor management

Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

A solid understanding of financial principles, tax requirements, and accounting regulations

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
-
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues efficiently and professionally
