ABOUT THE ROLEAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accountant to join our Finance Department. In this role, you will be pivotal in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the Club’s financial records, while partnering with various departments to provide financial insights and support that drive their strategic and operational success.
This is a permanent full-time position, commencing in July of 2025.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the key areas of responsibilities will include:
Managing the general ledger and overseeing system integrations from other financial platforms including payroll and CRM systemsPerform month-end balance sheet reconciliations, including maintenance of the Fixed Asset RegisterPreparation and lodgement of legal and statutory obligations, including BAS, Payroll Tax, WorkCover & SuperannuationPreparation of the annual FBT returnProcessing monthly administrative payroll and support salary and annual leave forecastingCollaborating with HR to prepare annual reports, including WGEA submissions and Club Remuneration SurveysActing as the finance lead for the Clubs CRM system – generate and distribute reconciled debtor reports and support internal teams with debt collectionContribute to ongoing cashflow forecasting and analysisSupport the preparation and coordination of the annual year-end audit
THE IDEAL CANDIDATEYou are a detail-oriented and proactive accounting professional with 4 or more years of accounting experience. You hold a tertiary qualification (Bachelor or Commerce or equivalent) and CPA/CA qualified or working toward. With a solid understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and relevant tax legislation, you bring strong technical expertise to your work. Your proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience with payroll processes, accounting systems and working with a CRM.
You are a team player with a strong work ethic, demonstrating a high level of initiative and seeking continuous improvement. You pride yourself on your attention to detail and your capability to meet tight deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.
You are flexible and adaptable, have excellent communication skills with an ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively to support your stakeholders.
