Are you community-minded and take pride in keeping public spaces clean, safe, and welcoming? Glenorchy City Council is seeking three Multi-Skilled Labourers to join our CBD Cleanliness Team, helping to maintain the presentation and amenity of key areas across Glenorchy, Moonah, and Claremont.
These roles offer a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on outdoor work and want to make a visible difference in their local community.
Position Focus Areas
Each position will contribute to a broad range of labouring activities, with a dedicated focus on one of the following areas:
• Painting – Minor asset painting, surface preparation, and touch-ups
• Pressure Cleaning & Graffiti Removal – Pressure cleaning of public amenities and the timely removal and documentation of graffiti on public assets
• General Cleaning – Litter collection, public amenity cleaning, and streetscape upkeep
What We’re Looking For
• Experience in general labouring, painting, pressure cleaner operation, graffiti removal, or cleaning
• A strong sense of community pride and attention to detail
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) procedures and safe work practices
Licenses/Accreditation (Essential)
• Vehicle and Medium Rigid Truck (“MR”) Class license
• White Card
• Traffic Management Accreditation
• First Aid Certification
