EXPERIENCED SOUS CHEF AND CHEF DE PARTIE WANTED FOR BOUTIQUE
WATERFRONT RESORT
Risby Cove is seeking a versatile and creative Sous Chef and Chef De Partie for
its award-winning restaurant in the picturesque village of Strahan, Tasmania.
Located on the shore of magnificent Macquarie Harbour, Risby Cove has a
reputation for offering the premier accommodation and dining experience in
this popular tourism region.
Our ideal candidate for this position will be:

• passionate about creating delicious menus with fresh seasonal produce
• dedicated to creating the perfect guest experience.
Qualifications and skills:
• Certificate III, IV or Diploma in Commercial Cookery (or Degree in
Culinary Arts, or equivalent)
• minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar hotel, resort or restaurant role,
including A la carte operation
• excellent knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment and
kitchen operations
• knowledge of food handling and storage standards and current
HACCAP procedures
• sound knowledge of current and emerging dining trends, including
special dietary requirements
• excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills in
relation to both co-workers and guests
• experience in fine dining and/or events would be highly desirable.

Strahan is considered remote for the purposes of a Working Holiday Visa, hence working at Risby Cove does offer you the ability to fulfil your 88 or 6 month remote work requirement for Working Holiday Visa's
