Your role
As a Sterilisation Technician you will effectively process and supply all instruments and items supplied by CSSD, and other relevant activities in our Endoscopy unit. You will assist in the decontamination, sterilisation, and distribution of medical equipment and instruments.
Our Endoscopy unit currently have a permanent part-time position, working 30 hours per week available for an experienced Sterilisation Technician to join their dedicated team. To be considered for a role you will have the ability to work rotational shifts.
The Position

Daily supervision of CSSD staff in liaison with Supervisor ensuring required tasks and relevant standards are met.

Prepares for, and deals with equipment received as per policy statements for appropriate decontamination processes.

Prepares for, and carries out assembly, packaging and sterilizing processes within the department and related areas as per policy statements.

Monitors processing activities as per policy statement.

Performs sterilization duties as required.

Ensure efficient use and maintenance of equipment and material resources in department and related areas.

Check relevant inventory to ensure adequate supplies are ordered, prepared and ready for use.

Monitor the use of storage areas in the department and related areas.

Ensures accurate records are maintained
Applications will be considered over the next six months for Sterilisation positions as they become available. Positions may include full-time, part-time or casual opportunities.
You will have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate, liaise and work collaboratively with colleagues and other multidisciplinary team members.
To succeed as a Sterilisation Technician you will hold a Certificate in Sterilisation at AQF3 or equivalent with previous relevant experience. You will have the ability to teach within CSSD and related areas.

Salary $72,408 to $76,718, pro rata plus 12% superannuation

$45.65 to $48.37 per hour (inclusive of casual loading) plus 12% superannuation

Part-time position working 30 hours per week.
