About the role
This position provides timekeeping and administrative support to the Claisebrook, Mandurah, and Nowergup Depots, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data associated with the Rostering and Payroll System (RAPS) for Railcar Drivers. The role is essential in ensuring compliance with employment conditions, supporting payroll functions, and delivering timely and accurate information to relevant stakeholders.
Core responsibilities include advising depot staff on timekeeping matters, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of awards and agreements, coordinating payroll data files, and assisting with payroll enquiries and discrepancies. The role also involves liaising with internal departments, initiating and testing system enhancements, training staff on RAPS changes, analysing data trends, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
About You!
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Proven experience with rostering and payroll systems, administration in a fast-paced environment, and interpreting industrial awards, agreements, and HR policies.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with the capability to liaise effectively across all levels of the organisation.
- Solid analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Well-developed planning and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently or in a team, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll systems.

There is one permanent full-time opportunity available for an immediate start. Applicants assessed as suitable through this process may be used to fill similar vacancies both fixed term and permanent that may arise within the next 12 months.
