Description:

James Glass and Aluminium is Australia's leading integrated glass, aluminium window and door manufacturer and contractor. Our privately owned, family company employs 2000 people with operations throughout Australia.

Our Bundaberg Windows & Doors branch provides sales, fabrication and installation of aluminium windows and doors to the residential, commercial and high-rise construction markets. We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Estimator to join our close-knit, successful team.
The Role
This role requires a commitment to providing outstanding, timely customer service by:
  • Interpreting requirements from tenders, orders, drawings and plans
  • Accurate plan take-off and specification / product compliance against relevant codes and regulations
  • Providing accurate and timely quotes
  • Managing phone and email inquiries efficiently and professionally
The Applicant
  • A proven estimating track record in the building / construction industry with V6 competency preferred
  • Requires an understanding and experience with the National Construction Code (NCC) and subsequent application of the various Australian Standards - relating to windows and doors
  • Ability to read plans and produce accurate and timely quotes, query and tender responses and variations
  • Previous material (from internal and external sources) and subcontractor procurement experience
  • Excellent communication with external clients, suppliers, internal teams and subcontractors
  • Excellent mathematical and literacy skills
  • Ability to form and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal staff
  • Strong troubleshooting, prioritising and organisational skills
