Leven Smash Repairs is looking for experienced Panel Beaters and Vehicle Painters to join our team at Mudgee.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Full-time Panel Beater role includes the following tasks and duties:

1. Vehicle strips and rebuilds
2. Analyzing motor vehicles to understand the extent of repair and restoration required
3. Assessing the extent of motor vehicle repairs, restoration, or customization requests
4. General repairs and rectification works
5. Dismantling and assembling various vehicle parts and components
6. Remove, repair, and replace damaged panels following repair procedures
7. Repair dents on damaged vehicles using fillers
8. Filing, grinding, and sanding the body of the vehicle to restore to pre-accident condition
9. Re-fit and align all parts
10. Realign chassis and body frames
11. Working with fibre glass
12. Removing damaged parts and panels and replacing the same

The Full-time Vehicle Painter role includes the following tasks and duties:

1. Priming preparation & priming duties
2. Dry sanding and pre paint preparation
3. Repair minor chips prior to painting panels using fillers
4. A high degree of colour matching skill
5. Utilise latest masking techniques
6. Refinish vehicles to the highest possible standard with minimal rework.
7. Ability to Buff and polish to a high level.

Qualifications or Requirements

1. Be licensed or eligible to be registered or a member of a professional body
2. A relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience
3. At least three years of experience in the panel industry across a variety of brands and vehicles
4. Able to work independently and also as part of the team

Salary

1. $70,000- $72,500 per year (commensurate to qualifications, skills, & experience)
