About the team:
The City Inspectorate branch is responsible for enforcement of the City’s standards and local laws, across building, community, public safety and environmental health compliance to protect safety and amenity for the City’s residents and visitors.
The Community Compliance business unit is responsible for:
- Patrolling and enforcing parking laws in paid parking and timed parking areas, off-street regulated parking areas, designated disabled parking bays, and respond to and investigate complaints and breaches of parking regulations.
- Reviewing and managing unpaid parking fines and related disputes.
- Delivering animal management initiatives to residents including patrols and enforcement, impounding and off leash facilities, pet education, and complaints management, to ensure animals are appropriately cared for and managed in compliance with legislation.
About your new role:
The Parking Program Officer is responsible for the review and coordination of parking enforcement education within the City Parking operations team; along with supporting the delivery of City Parking projects, initiatives and customer requests.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and deliver educational materials informing the public about parking regulations, compliance expectations, and the importance of safe parking practices.
- Work with schools, businesses, and community groups to promote awareness and encourage voluntary compliance.
- Provide clear, informative responses to public inquiries and complaints related to parking enforcement and education using City polices and procedures.
- Assist monitor trends in parking offences and community feedback to identify education needs and measure the impact of outreach efforts.
- Ensure a high level of quality communication is provided to all internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote and contribute to a positive and healthy workplace.
About You:

- Has exceptional organisational skills.
- A Certificate 3 in Business Administration or equivalent knowledge.
