About the role
Project Manager
The Energy Solutions team at AGL leads the delivery of innovative energy projects—including solar, storage, lighting, and virtual power plants—for Australia’s business sector. As a Project Manager, you’ll oversee projects from sale to handover, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality execution that meets customer expectations and drives profitability. You’ll manage stakeholder relationships, maintain project documentation, and serve as the primary customer interface post-sale, delivering exceptional service. Working autonomously or under senior guidance, you’ll handle medium-complexity projects, coach Project Associates, and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team.
What you’ll be doing:

Lead the delivery of energy projects from sale to handover, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability.

Manage stakeholder relationships, including customers, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.

Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, schedules, and communication strategies.

Ensure compliance with HSE policies and conduct audits, incident investigations, and site meetings.

Drive financial performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities and managing budgets.
-
Oversee contractor engagement, construction schedules, and quality assurance.
-
Use systems like NetSuite and Procore to maintain accurate project data and documentation.

Coach and support junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What we’re looking for:
-
Tenured experience in project management or engineering roles.
-
Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, or construction management.
-
Strong stakeholder and contractor management skills.
-
Excellent communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
-
Knowledge of electrical and PV industry regulations.
-
Ability to work independently, including in remote locations.
-
Construction Induction Training (White Card).
Preferred:
-
Working at Heights qualification.
-
Experience working for a major industrial and commercial rooftop solar installation provider.

Knowledge of the software systems Energy Solutions uses to manage its business (NetSuite, Procore).
