Wellways Australia is currently recruiting for Family Peer Cadets to join our new Family Carer-led Centres across Western Victoria. A key recommendation from the Victorian Royal Commission into Mental Health is that this service is designed and delivered by people with a personal lived experience of carer giving.

Successful Family Peer Cadets will benefit from the fantastic opportunity Wellways Australia has to offer which includes:
- Being a part of a 12-month program, whereby you will gain work experience in the Family Carer-led Centres.
- Utilise your personal lived or living experience of supporting a person with mental illness, including people with co-occurring substance use or addiction, to support family members, carers and supporters of the Family and Carer-led services.
- Receive on-going support and coaching from our Senior Family Peer Workers
- Receive a comprehensive and engaging on-boarding experience
- Receive on-the-job training, feedback and on-going development
