About the role


Step into a leadership role that drives the heartbeat of organisational integrity and resilience. As the Manager of Risk Compliance & Audits, you’ll command a high-performing team dedicated to championing robust governance, agile compliance frameworks, and forward-thinking risk strategy. This isn't just about managing systems; it’s about shaping a culture where risk awareness fuels innovation and ethical decision making underpins everything we do.


Your influence will protect the organisation’s mission, elevate client outcomes, and secure long-term sustainability, all while instilling a mindset of continuous improvement across every layer of operations.


Duties



  • Lead a small team to build our internal capabilities in adoption of policies, processes and systems for managing risks, completing audits and ensuring compliance in collaboration with risk and compliance owners across the whole of the organisation
  • Support business areas in managing risks, business continuity plans, crisis response plans and implementation of identified corrective and improvement actions.
  • Support business areas in reviewing legislative changes, assessing compliance and identifying and implementing improvements.
  • Ensure that incidents, complaints and feedback are reported, investigated, and resolved.

Skills and Requirement



  • Degree or certifications in Enterprise Risk Management and/or Compliance Management standards.
  • Proven experience in managing organisational risk, compliance and/or audits and implementing policies, procedures and processes to coordinate this, preferably in a human services context.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team to maximise outcomes for organisational stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience working with, and/or knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks relating to the human services sector.
  • Experience in identifying opportunities for and implementing risk and compliance improvements within programs or services.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change through influence, with the ability to build strong working relationships based on trust and collaboration across all levels of the organisation.
  • Have significant experience working across inter/multi - professional teams, and in cross-portfolio teams and groups in managing organisational risk and compliance and implementing business continuity plans and risk assessments.
  • Be an excellent people manager with confidence in navigating and nurturing teams through ambiguity, uncertainty and change.
