As Director, You Will Be Responsible For
- Leading and overseeing team management, work planning, coaching, mentoring and professional development initiatives to drive employee engagement and ensure resources are aligned to deliver government priorities.
- Leading and supporting your team to provide timely, high quality and strategic legal advice to the Minister, Director-General, Coordinator-General and other key decision makers on matters impacting the delivery of the department's priorities.
- Contributing to proactively identifying and managing current and emerging legal issues, priorities and risks affecting the department.
- Managing the provision of internal and external legal services to ensure value for money, quality and timeliness of work produced and ensuring continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery.
- Managing effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Contributing to strengthening the knowledge and capacity of managers and other departmental staff to work within the relevant legislative and regulatory framework.
- The successful applicant must be admitted, or qualify for admission, as a Solicitor or Barrister of the Supreme Court of Queensland, with demonstrated relevant
- A minimum of 6 years post admission experience in relevant practice areas is preferred.
