Job DescriptionAbout The Role
As a key member of the ATSICHS Brisbane team, The Registered Nurse provides critical thinking and analysis to the clinical team, collaborating with clinicians and health workers ensuring efficient client assessment, workflow and maintaining care plans is in place. Registered Nurses work with the clinic team to provide continuity of care, client follow up and recalls. Additionally, Registered Nurses supervise nursing students, provide team/pod leadership and support, assessment, review, treatments, triage, education, health screening, management plans, injections and immunisations.
Duties
- Provide Quality nursing practice within an Aboriginal Primary Health Care team and effectively plan workload to achieve results.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organisations, hospitals, and other stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the Primary Health Clinic, integrating culturally safe practices.
- Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of ATSICHS Policy and procedures in line with AGPAL Accreditation Standards.
- Ensure quality control within the clinic through the use of audits, stock management. This includes the delegations of cold chain management and infection control management as designed by management.

- Base salary of $82,732 to $100,655 per annum (based on qualifications and experience).

Desired Skills and ExperienceRequired
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or higher.
- Full un-restricted AHPRA registration.
- Ability to support a continuous improvement model for achieving outcomes.
- Decisive listening, influencing and persuasive skills.
- Knowledge of culturally safe practices and sensitivity towards Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Primary Health Care.
- Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.
Preferred
- Knowledge of and experience working with – MMEx
- National Police Certificate
