Delaware North Australia is hiring a casual Payroll Officer to join the team at our Head Office in Docklands. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for the efficient processing of the organisation's pay runs and observing the necessary legislation, organisational policies, and procedures. - Maintain accurate and up to date payroll information pertaining to all team members across payroll, time, and attendance systems
- Support the wider payroll team in smoothly rolling out weekly and fortnightly pay runs while being the first point of call for other departments relating to payroll concerns
- Extract reports from payroll systems and analyse and report on findings
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer inquiries from team members, providing timely and accurate information regarding their pay, deductions, and entitlements
- Assist with payroll audits and reporting, ensuring all documentation is accurate and properly maintained for internal and external review
- Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Expertise in payroll delivery across multiple locations, with a strong understanding of industrial instruments
- In-depth knowledge of legislative requirements, including Payroll, PAYG, FBT, payroll tax, and superannuation
- Strong problem-solving skills for developing effective solutions to system functionality issues and gaps, with knowledge of ADP or HumanForce preferred
- Sound understanding of Industrial Relations Legislation, including the ability to interpret Awards and Enterprise Agreements, while maintaining a commitment to confidentiality and privacy principles
