Business Development Manager
Melbourne Based | Hybrid 2 days per week

At Buildxact, we’re on a mission to simplify the way residential builders and trades run their businesses. As a Business Development Manager , you’ll play a critical role in inspiring potential customers to transform how they work - guiding them from first trial to full adoption of our platform. You'll proactively engage with trial users, understand their needs, and showcase the real-world value of Buildxact, helping turn interest into long-term success.

In this role, you’ll manage a healthy sales pipeline, uncover new opportunities, and deliver against revenue targets. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product to share customer insights and drive meaningful engagement. You'll build strong relationships with builders and decision-makers, educate them on how Buildxact can make their lives easier, and represent us at industry events and trade shows. If you're someone with a strong SaaS or construction background, a growth mindset, and a knack for closing deals - this role is yours to nail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets and financial objectives

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with builders and key accounts

  • Scope solutions that meet customer needs and communicate value

  • Manage pipeline and forecast with accuracy through our CRM

  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to fuel trial success

  • Represent Buildxact at trade shows, conferences, and customer events

  • Stay up to date on industry trends and competitor insights

What You Bring

  • Must have SaaS and/or construction industry experience in a BDM/AE capacity

  • Growth mindset and drive to exceed goals in a high velocity environment

  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills

  • A results-driven, accountable work ethic

  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for learning
