Description:

Join the Strategic Communications and Engagement team within the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business. In this role, you will support the delivery of clear, accessible and customer-focused communications and marketing activities that help Queenslanders, small and family businesses engage with government services.

You will work across a range of projects and initiatives, producing content for internal and external channels, supporting digital and marketing activities, and providing practical communications advice to stakeholders. You will be part of a collaborative team that values professionalism, inclusion and continuous improvement.

The Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) is focused on improving customer experiences with government, supporting small and family businesses, and delivering accessible, responsive and digitally enabled services for Queenslanders.

The Strategic Communications and Engagement team partners with business areas across the department to deliver timely, practical and audience-focused communications, change and marketing support. The team plays a key role in supporting service delivery, operational change, customer engagement and internal communications.

As an Advisor (Communications & Marketing), you will contribute to the planning and delivery of communication and marketing activities that support departmental priorities and customer needs. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to develop clear, accurate and accessible content for a range of audiences and channels, including digital platforms.

Your role will include researching and producing communication materials, supporting marketing and engagement activities, providing advice on communications and media matters, and identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies. You will also support the management of intranet content and contribute to continuous improvement in communication practices and capability.
