Job Description

  • Partner with managers and teams to embed safety into everyday operations.
  • Lead safety walks, inspections, and risk assessments to spot hazards early and prevent incidents.
  • Review SWMS, oversee work permits, and ensure contractors meet safety standards.
  • Deliver and support training programs such as manual handling and confined space awareness.
  • Investigate incidents, manage injury and return-to-work processes, and drive preventative actions.
  • Keep accurate, confidential records of hazards, incidents, audits, health monitoring, and compliance activities.
  • Champion a proactive safety culture, driving continuous improvement in WHS and psychosocial risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures, and ISO standards (ISO-14001, ISO-9001, ISO-45001).
  • Support site contractor management and contribute to WHS improvement projects.
  • Provide support to the National HSE Manager on broader initiatives when required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Australian market.
  • Certificate IV in Health and Safety (minimum).
  • Solid knowledge of WHS legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise, plan, and deliver projects to tight deadlines.
  • Resilient and adaptable, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Current Australian driver’s licence.
