Business Analyst (ServiceNow HR)

Michael Page
Brisbane Full-day Temporary

Description:

We are seeking a proactive Business Analyst who will drive incremental improvements across HR operations, with a particular emphasis on task and workflow delivery, knowledge management, and ServiceNow HR solutions. The role blends classic business‑analysis duties-requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder facilitation-with hands‑on coordination of implementation activities. Experience with ServiceNow HR and knowledge‑base management is advantageous but not mandatory; the primary focus is on delivering tangible process enhancements in a fast‑paced environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the HR operations team to understand current end‑to‑end processes, identify bottlenecks, and define improvement opportunities.
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for ServiceNow workflows, assignment groups, and custom intake forms.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and cross‑functional reviews to capture feedback, prioritize work, and ensure alignment with HR goals.
  • Coordinate with the offshore ServiceNow technical team and internal developers to ensure timely and accurate implementation of new requirements, tracking progress against sprint/Agile milestones.
  • Create and maintain documentation of processes, requirements, and delivered solutions; keep knowledge‑base articles up to date to support HR staff.
  • Conduct post‑implementation reviews and metrics analysis to measure impact, surface lessons learned, and feed continuous‑improvement cycles.
  • Support training and change‑management activities for HR users adopting new workflows or knowledge‑management tools.

Requirements:

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of business‑analysis experience, preferably within HR operations or a related corporate function.
  • Proven ability to map business processes and author clear, actionable requirements for workflow automation tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; comfortable leading workshops and collaborating with diverse, cross‑geographic teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile/scrum practices and basic project‑management principles.
  • Experience working with offshore or distributed technical teams and managing time‑zone coordination.
  • Knowledge of HR processes (recruiting, onboarding, employee service) and basic understanding of knowledge‑management concepts is a plus.
  • ServiceNow HR or Knowledge Management exposure (certifications or hands‑on work) considered a strong advantage.

Conditions:

  • Day rate contract. Initial 12 months with view to extend.
  • Temporary role with the opportunity to work on meaningful projects.
  • Opportunity to work in Brisbane with a leading organisation in the industrial and manufacturing sector.
  • Collaborative and supportive work environment.
