To support our success and recent growth, Sedgman is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team in Brisbane.
The role will require but not be limited to:
- Detailed concrete and steel design, including interaction with Drafters to produce models and documentation in line with QA Compliance
- Concept studies, including estimating quantities and preliminary designs
- Assist with construction enquiries, including safe lifting and erection
- Interface with other Engineering disciplines, including Electrical, Process and Mechanical
- Focus on technical innovation and continuous improvement
- Office based position in Brisbane with short term site visits required
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor of civil (structural) engineering
- A strong desire and willingness to develop a career within the Metals and Minerals processing industry
- At least 2-3 years experience as a Structural Engineer in design, consultancy or operational environment.
- Previous Minerals or Metals industry experience would be highly regarded
- Ability to safely and effectively self-manage time, priorities and activities
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
