About the opportunity


Working on a 2:2 Roster, ex Perth, we have an opportunity for an experienced Contract Administrator to join our team and play a key role in driving commercial delivery and project control excellence on a major structural integrity project in the iron ore sector.

In this role, you will:


  • Lead project controls and commercial management across cost, schedule, risk, change, and reporting to ensure safe, timely, and commercially sound project delivery.
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including preparation, negotiation, compliance, performance monitoring, claims resolution, and risk mitigation, safeguarding company and client interests.
  • Provide data-driven insights through robust cost control, forecasting, variance analysis, and consolidated reporting to support informed decision-making.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and collaboration with project teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients, while mentoring a team of Quantity Surveyors, Cost Controller and Planner/ Schedulers.
  • Keep abreast of governance and regulatory obligations, taking appropriate actions to support compliance and preventive strategies.
  • Support preparation and defence of contractual claims and varitaions, proactively negotiate contracts, and provide commercial guidance to operations personnel.

About you


You’re a proactive, commercially-minded, and collaborative professional who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys contributing to meaningful outcomes.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Project Management, with postgraduate qualifications in Project Management desirable.
  • Minimum 5–10 years’ project controls experience in the mining or resources sector, with proven expertise in cost, schedule, risk, reporting, contract administration, and leadership.
  • Proficiency in project controls tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, with advanced Excel and dashboard skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and contractors while showing resilience and adaptability.
  • Previous experience working FIFO rosters in the iron ore industry and on large-scale maintenance or construction projects.
  • Ability to pass project-specific pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
