About The Role

The Senior Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for providing high quality, efficient, personal and confidential administrative and secretarial services to the Chief Executive Officer and Director - Office of the CEO, including proactive email and calendar management, travel arrangements, meeting coordination and preparation, provide rigorous document management through the Office of the CEO, as well as discrete projects and other tasks as directed by the CEO or Director - Office of the CEO.

This position requires high standards of responsiveness, performance, accountability, collaboration, and a strong commitment to a positive culture. It also requires attention to detail and the highest levels of ethics and integrity particularly in handling confidential and sensitive information.

About The Team

The Office of the CEO provides strategic advice, administrative and governance support to the CEO and Board. The Office collaborates with the executives across the organisation, leading and supporting the delivery of Parks Victoria's strategic objectives, legislative requirements and government priorities, and manages the organisation's authorising environment, building and strengthening relationships with ministerial offices across all levels of government and with external stakeholders.

The Office also ensures the timely preparation of high-quality briefings, correspondence and reports for senior decision makers, and provides high quality secretariat support to the Board (and its sub-committees) and to operational governance committees.

We're Looking For Someone With

  • Executive support experience at a CEO level including management of their diary (including making adjustments in response to changing priorities) and travel and other administrative support tasks.
  • Acute attention to detail and ability to deliver system management and quality oversight of documents through the Office of the CEO, including providing administrative support to the Director - Office of the CEO as required
  • Ability to exercise judgement and make decisions governed by the application of rules, regulations, best practice principles or Parks Victoria's operating instructions and procedures, under the support and general direction of the Director - Office of the CEO.
