We have an opportunity in Maryborough for a Team Leader (Compliance),within the Environmental Services and Regulation (ESR) division of the Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation. In this position you will work closely with the Compliance Delivery Manager to lead a dedicated and professional team that will be responsible for managing day-to-day planning, operation and support the team to meet its objectives and will have responsibility for key deliverables, while contributing to the implementation of environmental management and protection strategies and promote compliance with environmental legislation, regulations and policies.

You'll have the following work skills and experience (which define what you can contribute professionally):
- Experience leading and working as part of a team to achieve operational deliverables in a regulatory service delivery environment.
- Proven ability to communicate with influence, to:
- Motivate, develop, and engage staff,
- Lead negotiations to resolve complex matters and,
- Manage stakeholders.
- Understanding of (or the ability to rapidly acquire), contemporary environmental and regulatory legislation, trends, drivers and approaches.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capability in rapidly changing contexts.
