Description:
The requirements of the role are as Follows;
- Supporting the agency's day-to-day financial operations, including month-end and year-end processes, journal processing, account reviews, and reconciliations
- Contributing to the development of the agency's annual budget, including processing budget data and phasing within the budget management system
- Providing accurate financial information and financial management services to both internal and external stakeholders
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring high-quality, customer-focused service delivery
- Ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures (including the Financial Management Practice Manual), Australian Accounting Standards, and relevant legislation
- Assisting in the preparation of business cases and briefing notes for senior management
- Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies as required.
- Collaborate with team members to meet organisational goals and deadlines.
Requirements:
The successful applicant should have:
- Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of public sector financial practices and regulations would be advantageous.
